New “HZ^®/ AZ^®” and “The impervious steel sheet pile wall” brochures

ArcelorMittal’s sheet piling range continues to grow. The new profile is the HZ 680M LT king pile to form a combined wall system HZ/AZ. It is the lightest HZ^® sheet pile in the whole range, and was developed more specifically for structures with limited working space (depth). Though only 630 mm deep, it possesses a high stiffness (moment of inertia), and is most appropriate for upgrading existing quay walls. In this respect it was first supplied for the deepening of a quay wall in a Chilean port in 2013. The existing structure is a deck on pile, and a combination C23 is driven underwater to support the existing sloped soil below the deck (see picture below). Efficiency and stiffness of the wall, as well as simple installation procedure were the main advantages of the steel solution. The second shipment of the new king pile was to a port in Germany: its shape yields a very high ratio “perimeter / mass”, and consequently it is an outstanding ‘tension pile’ element.

Watertightness is a major topic in rather specific applications, like underground car parks, waste confinement, etc. ArcelorMittal has developed new sealing systems to adapt its portfolio to comply with most stringent requirements from customers. One of those requirements is the preservation of the environment. The new sealants are environmentally-friendly and can safely be used in direct contact with groundwater: Roxan^® Plus, Akila^® and Beltan^® Plus. Arcoseal™ was the first “green” sealant, and has been used successfully in the past in many applications. Evidently, each system has its own specific advantages. The aim of the revised brochure is to explain in details the characteristics of the sealing systems, the application and installation methods, and to support design engineers in selecting the sealants which will best fit the needs of their project. Neue Broschüren “HZ^®/ AZ^®” und “The impervious steel sheet pile wall”

Die Spundwandproduktreihe von ArcelorMittal wächst kontinuierlich. Das jüngste Profil ist die neue HZ 680M LT, die als Tragbohle in kombinierten Wänden Einsatz findet. Sie ist das derzeit leichteste HZâ -Profil in der gesamten Angebotspalette und wurde insbesondere für den Einsatz bei begrenztem Arbeitsraum entwickelt. Trotz geringer Profilhöhe von nur 630 mm, besitzt die HZ 680M LT ein relativ hohes Flächenträgheitsmoment und ist damit bestens für die Ertüchtigung bestehender Kaiwände geeignet. In diesem Zusammenhang ist sie auch als erstes 2013 in einem Hafenprojekt in Chile eingesetzt worden. In der dargestellten Skizze sieht man die HZ 680M LT als C23-Lösung zur Sicherstellung der Böschung unter einer bestehenden, Pfahl-gestützten Plattform. Die Wand wurde problemlos und unkompliziert mittels Unterwasserrammung eingebracht. Effizienz und Steifigkeit trotz geringer Konstruktionshöhe waren die herausragenden Vorteile dieser Stahllösung. Das zweite Projekt, das mit diesem Profil realisiert wurde, war ein Hafen in Deutschland. Die Profilform weist ein sehr großes Verhältnis von Umfang zu Masse auf, wodurch der Träger auch für den Einsatz als Zugpfahl besonders interessant wird.

Wasserdichtigkeit ist für bestimmte Einsatzbereiche von Spundwänden, wie Tiefgaragen oder Deponien, usw. ein besonders zu beachtendes Kriterium. Hierzu hat ArcelorMittal neue Dichtungsprodukte entwickelt, die auf die hohen Kundenanforderungen abgestimmt sind. Eine dieser Anforderungen ist der Erhalt der Umwelt. Die neuen Dichtungsprodukte sind umweltfreundlich und können problemlos in Kontakt mit Grundwasser kommen: Roxan^® Plus, Akila^® und Beltan^® Plus. Arcoseal™ war das erste “grüne” Dichtungsmittel, das in der Vergangenheit erfolgreich in vielen Projekten mit wasserschutzrechtlichen Anforderungen Anwendung fand. Natürlich hat jedes Dichtungsprodukt seine speziellen Vorteile. Die Neuauflage der Broschüre erklärt genaue Unterschiede und Eigenschaften der verschiedenen Dichtmittel, ihren Einbau in die Schlösser,sowie Besonderheiten, die beim jeweiligen Umgang und bei der Installation beachtet werden sollen.Darüber hinaus kann unsere technische Abteilung weitere Hilfestellung geben, damit die bestmögliche Wahl des Produktes getroffen wird. Nuove brochure " HZ^®/AZ^®” e "Sistema d’Impermeabilizzazione dei Giunti”

La gamma di palancole ArcelorMittal è in continua crescita. Il nuovo profilo è la trave portante HZ 680M LT per formare una parete combinata HZ/AZ. E' il profilo HZ^® più leggero di tutta la gamma, ed è stato sviluppato soprattutto per strutture con spazio di lavoro limitato (profondità). Sebbene con solo 630 millimetri di profondità, possieda un’elevata rigidità (momento d’inerzia), ed è la più appropriata per migliorare moli già esistenti. A questo proposito questo profilo è stato utilizzato per la prima volta, nel 2013 in un porto cileno par approfondire una banchina. La struttura esistente è un impalcato su pali, e una combinazione C23 è stata infissa sott'acqua per sostenere l’esistente terreno inclinato sotto l’impalcato (vedi foto sotto). Oltre alla semplice procedura d’installazione, i principali vantaggi della soluzione in acciaio sono l’efficienza e la rigidità della parete. La seconda spedizione della nuova trave portante è stata per un porto in Germania: la sua forma produce un elevato rapporto "perimetro/massa", e di conseguenza un eccezionale palo di 'tensione'.

L’impermeabilità è un argomento importante in applicazioni particolari, come parcheggi sotterranei, confinamento dei rifiuti, ecc. ArcelorMittal ha sviluppato nuovi sistemi di tenuta per adattare il proprio portfolio in modo da conformarsi alla maggior parte dei rigorosi criteri dei clienti. Uno di questi parametri è la preservazione dell'ambiente. I nuovi sigillanti sono ecologici e possono essere tranquillamente utilizzati in contatto diretto con le acque freatiche: Roxan^® Plus, Akila^® e Beltan^® Plus. L'Arcoseal™ è stato il primo sigillante "verde", utilizzato con successo in passato in molte applicazioni. E’ chiaro che ogni sistema ha i suoi vantaggi specifici. L'obiettivo della nuova brochure è quello di spiegare in dettaglio le caratteristiche dei sistemi di tenuta, le procedure d'applicazione e d'installazione, e per sostenere i progettisti nella scelta dei sistemi d’impermeabilizzazione che meglio si adattano alle esigenze dei loro progetti. Nowe broszury “HZ^®/ AZ^®”  “The impervious steel sheet pile wall”

ArcelorMittal’s Zakres grodzic ArcelorMittal stale rośnie. Nowymi profilami są HZ 680M LT king pile do tworzenia ścian kombinowanych w systemie HZ/AZ. Są to najlżejsze profile HZ^® w całym zakresie i zostały stworzone dla konstrukcji o ograniczonej przestrzeni roboczej (szerokość). Choć szerokość wynosi tylko 630 mm, posiadają wysoką sztywność ( moment bezwładności ) i jest najbardziej odpowiednie rozwiązanie dla modernizacji istniejących ścian nabrzeży. W związku z tym zostały one, jako jedna z pierwszych realizacji, dostarczane do pogłębienia ścian nabrzeża portu w Chile w 2013 roku . Istniejąca konstrukcja nabrzeża to płyta na palach. Rozwiązanie C23 instalowane jest pod wodą jako konstrukcja wsporcza dla skarpy poniżej płyty (patrz rysunek). Skuteczność i sztywność ściany, a także prosty sposób instalacji były głównymi zaletami stalowego rozwiązania. Druga dostawa nowych profili zrealizowana została do portu w Niemczech: jego kształt daje bardzo wysoki współczynnik "obwód / masa", a tym samym stanowi znakomity przykład wytężonego elementu ('tension pile’).

Wodoszczelność jest głównym zagadnieniem w dość szczególnych zastosowaniach, takich jak podziemne parkingi, składowiska odpadków itp. ArcelorMittal stworzył nowe systemy uszczelniające dostosowując swoją ofertę, aby spełniała najwyższe wymagania klientów. Jednym z tych wymagań jest ochrona środowiska. Nowe uszczelniacze są przyjazne dla środowiska i mogą być bezpiecznie stosowane w bezpośrednim otoczeniu wód podziemnych: Roxan^® Plus , Akila^® i Beltan^® Plus. Arcoseal™ był pierwszym "zielonym" uszczelniaczem, z powodzeniem wykorzystywanym w przeszłości w wielu zastosowaniach. Zdecydowanie, każdy system ma swoje szczególne zalety. Celem zmienionej broszury jest szczegółowe wyjaśnienie cech systemów uszczelniających, metod aplikacji i instalacji, oraz wesprzeć projektantów w wyborze najlepszego rozwiązania dla danego projektu. Novos manuais “HZ^®/ AZ^®” e “The impervious steel sheet pile wall”

A gama de estacas pranchas da ArcelorMittal continua crescendo. O mais novo perfil é o HZ 680M LT para sistemas de paredes combinadas HZ/AZ. Essa é a mais leve estaca prancha HZ^® de toda a gama, que foi desenvolvida mais especificamente para estruturas com espaço de trabalho limitado (altura do perfil). Embora possua somente 630 mm de altura de perfil, o mesmo possui alta rigidez (momento de inércia) e é muito apropriado para realizar upgrade em cais já existentes. Nessa utilização, seu primeiro fornecimento foi para o aprofundamento da parede de um cais em um porto chileno em 2013. A estrutura existente é uma plataforma estaqueada, e uma combinação C23 é instalada de forma submersa para dar suporte ao talude existente sob a plataforma (ver figura abaixo). A eficiência e a rigidez da parede, assim como o processo de instalação simplificado foram as principais vantagens da solução em aço. A segunda utilização do novo perfil foi em um porto na Alemanha: a sua forma produz uma relação “perímetro/massa” muito elevada, o que faz do perfil um excelente elemento para trabalhar tracionado (tension pile).

Estanqueidade é a questão principal em diversas paredes de contenção, como em estacionamentos subterrâneos, confinamento de lixo, etc. A ArcelorMittal tem desenvolvido novos sistemas para selagem a fim de adaptar seu portfólio as rigorosas exigências de seus clientes. Uma dessas exigências é a preservação do meio ambiente. Os novos materiais selantes são ambientalmente corretos e podem ser usados em contato direto com a água: Roxan^® Plus, Akila^® e Beltan^® Plus. Arcoseal™ foi o primeiro selante “verde” e foi usado com sucesso no passado em diversas aplicações. Evidentemente, cada sistema possui suas vantagens específicas. O objetivo desses manuais revisados é explicar, em detalhes, as características dos sistemas de selagem, as aplicações e métodos de instalação e dar suporte a engenheiros projetistas ao selecionar o selante que melhor se encaixará à necessidade de seu projeto.
