We have been working hard to collect a large amount of information regarding modern port structures that were built with steel sheet piling. A large number of contractors, project owners, consultants and our sales agencies contributed to this new brochure. It summarizes the essence of each individual project, and highlights our involvement in providing ‘steel sheet piling solutions’ to these projects. We insist on the term ‘solutions’, as our main aim is to work closely with every party involved in the design and construction of such complex structures. The goal is to work out the most cost-effective and reliable structure utilizing steel sheet piles.

This brochure is a snapshot of the current state of the art construction methods and sheet pile solutions. We had to limit ourselves to a few projects that have been selected based on specific criteria, like the complexity of the design, installation issues, design challenges, innovative concepts, deep waterfront structures, etc.

We are confident that you will enjoy this trip through the world of ports and steel sheet pile structures. And hopefully you will find at least one new idea for your future waterfront projects.

 

 

C'est avec grand plaisir que nous vous annonçons la publication de notre nouvelle brochure "harbour construction". Plus qu'un simple recueil "d'ouvrages portuaires", cette brochure illustre l'apport déterminant de la "solution palplanche" à travers le monde, dans les réalisations les plus récentes.

"Solution palplanche" : ce terme nous est cher. Il exprime très clairement notre démarche, qui est  d'accompagner les différents acteurs de ce type de projet complexe dès la conception, afin de déterminer ensemble une solution technique économique utilisant des structures en palplanches acier.

Les réalisations décrites dans cette brochure ont toutes été sélectionnées sur des critères bien particuliers tels que la complexité de l'étude, de la mise en œuvre, solutions innovantes, structures en eau profondes, etc.… A ce sujet, nous remercions toutes les entreprises, maîtres d'ouvrage, maitres d'œuvre, bureau d'étude (pour ne citer qu'eux), pour leur collaboration et leur précieuses informations, sans lesquelles nous n'aurions pu réaliser cette brochure.

Unsere technische Marketing Abteilung hat eine große Anzahl von Beschreibungen von Spundwand-konstruktionen in modernen Häfen zusammengetragen. Dabei wurden die Standpunkte sowohl von den beauftragten Baufirmen, Auftraggebern und Ingenieurbüros als auch von der Verkaufsabteilung der Arcelor berücksichtigt.

 

Die neue Broschüre geht auf die Besonderheiten jedes einzelnen Projektes ein und unterstreicht unseren Beitrag zum Thema „Spundwandlösungen“. Lösungen, weil Arcelor mehr als nur Material verkauft: wir bemühen uns in engem Kontakt mit jeder im Entwurf und im Bau beteiligten Partei zu verbleiben, um eine möglichst kostengünstige Spundwandlösung garantieren zu können.

 

Diese Broschüre ist eine Momentaufnahme von Spundwandlösungen und modernen Baumethoden. Sie beschränkt sich auf kleinere Anzahl weltweit realisierter Projekte, die aufgrund ihrer besonderen Komplexität bezüglich Entwurf, Rammbedingungen, Wassertiefe usw. ausgewählt wurden.
