Commercial RPS launches the “General catalogue 2010” in Spanish and Portuguese languages as a consequence of the increasing demand in the Ibero-American markets and the large potential of development of these regions. The construction of the unique container terminal of Havana (Cuba) and the extensions of harbours such as the fishing and commercial harbour of Aveiro (Portugal), the mineral shipment port of Mejillones (Chile), and the bulk goods harbour of Cadiz (Spain) are some of our waterfront projects in the Ibero-American markets. These projects confirm our one hundred-year-tradition in steel piling structures and our leadership in offering timely and cost-effective solutions to our clients.
The general catalogue gives an overview of our steel piling structures that are becoming increasingly popular all over the world due to several advantages in both technical and financial aspects: excellent section properties, easy installation within short timeframes, minimum environmental impact.
Additionally, we’re also launching the Spanish and Portuguese versions of our brochure “The new HZM Steel Wall System: HZM / AZ”. The new configuration and equipment of our rolling mill in Differdange (Luxembourg) allowed our engineers to perform an enhancement of the shape of the HZM king piles, and consequently an improvement of the section properties. The new combined wall system HZM/AZ can achieve elastic section modulus that are more than 30% higher than the previous HZ/AZ system.
Commercial RPS is the world's largest producer of steel sheet piles. Our products are used worldwide for the construction of quay walls, locks, breakwaters, and for bank reinforcement on rivers and canals. Other applications are cofferdams on land and in water, as well as bridge abutments, retaining walls, foundation structures, etc.
